1. eSIM Basics

An eSIM is a digital SIM embedded within your device, allowing you to activate mobile plans without the need for a physical SIM card.

All Maxis Business Postpaid customers, both new and existing, are eligible to use eSIM.

Yes. A fee of RM10 applies for converting a physical SIM to eSIM or requesting a new eSIM for a new device.

No, unless you sign up for a device package.

3. Activating eSIM

In-Store
- Authorised Signatories or PICs can visit any Maxis Centre or Partner to get an eSIM activation kit (QR code).
- Authorised Signatories or PICs must present an Authorisation Letter signed by the PIC or Company Director as per Maxis records.
Maxis Business Hub (MBH):
- Appointed MBH PICs can request and self-activate the eSIM via MBH: guide here.
Managing eSIM
4. Transferring eSIM

Each eSIM QR code is single-use and cannot be reused. To switch devices, request a SIM replacement at any Maxis Centre or via MBH.

No. Each eSIM is tied to one device only.
5. Switching Back to Physical SIM

Visit a Maxis Centre (charges apply) or request a physical SIM via MBH.
6. Troubleshooting

Try re-scanning the QR code. If the issue persists, visit a Maxis Centre or contact customer service at 1919 if dialling from Maxis Business mobile line or 1 800 82 1919 from other Malaysia fixed and mobile lines.

7. Selling/Passing On Devices
