Yes, it is crucial to adhere to certain rules and guidelines to ensure compliance and responsible messaging:
- Consent: Only send SMS to customers who opted in to receive messages.
- Compliance: All SMS campaigns must comply with:
- The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA 2010), which governs data privacy laws in Malaysia.
- Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) guidelines, which prohibit spam, illegal content, and improper use of URLs or phone numbers.
- Penalties: Failure to comply with these regulations may result in penalties, including fines or the suspension of your service.

Dedicated short code service is designed for customers wish to have their own unique short code (e.g., a 5-digit number). This is an alternative to sharing the pre-defined 62xxx short codes, which are primarily used for Maxis mobile numbers.
For recipients on other mobile networks, messages will be sent randomly using our pre-defined 62XXX short codes.

Maxis only provides the platform for sending SMS messages. Due to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you are required to use your own customer database.

You will be charged based on the number of SMS messages submitted to our platform, regardless of delivery status.

Yes, Delivery Reports (DR) is for users utilising the Direct SMS application and applies only to messages sent to Maxis numbers (On-Net). The charge for this service is RM0.01 per SMS and will only be delivered within 24 hours of the message submission. No Delivery Reports (DR) will be provided after the 24-hour window, even if the message is delivered to the recipient's mobile phone.

You can send more SMS messages than your allocated monthly quota. Any messages sent beyond your quota will be charged at an incremental rate, which is determined by the specific plan you have subscribed to.
