Maxis Business Voice SIP

  • Maxis Business Voice SIP is a SIP trunking solution that connects your business’s on-premise IP PBX or contact centre system to the public telephone network via Maxis data connectivity. The service comes with Maxis fixed line numbers and it enables voice calls over IP network for inbound and outbound communications.

    • Cost-effective alternative to traditional phone lines.

    • Free on-net calls (Maxis mobile/fixed lines and Business Voice Go).


    Note:
    The former Maxis Business Voice SIP ONE Business Voice SIP plan has been renamed to Maxis Business Voice SIP, with no changes to pricing or features.

  • This solution is ideal if:

    • You have an on-premise IP PBX system and need SIP trunk for inbound/outbound calls.
    • You’re replacing outdated PBX systems & PRI trunks with a new IP PBX and SIP trunk service.

  • Maxis Business Voice SIP plans are available for:

    • 12, 24, 36, or 60-month contract duration on DIA or MPLS infrastructure.
    • 24 months contract duration on Business Fibre infrastructure.
  • Business Voice SIP offers:

    • On-net calls to Maxis mobile, Maxis fixed, Business Voice Go: Free
    • Off-net fixed local calls: RM0.04 per minute
    • Off net local calls to other local mobile numbers and fixed numbers nationwide:  RM0.07 per minute
  • To subscribe for Voice SIP, you must have one of these Maxis services:

    • Business Fibre
    • Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) 
    • Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)

  • No, fixed-line numbers are not portable between providers in Malaysia. However, you can:

    Select a new fixed-line number with your preferred state prefix (e.g., 03, 05) when subscribing to Maxis Business Voice SIP.

    Retain your existing non-Maxis fixed-line number separately while using Maxis Business Voice SIP for SIP trunking.

  • Yes, a Proof of Concept (PoC) is required to:

    • Verify compatibility between your equipment and Maxis SIP trunking.
    • Identify and resolve potential technical issues pre-implementation.
    • Ensure call quality and service reliability.


    Our team will work with you to schedule the PoC.

  • The PoC can be performed at your premises (preferred for real-environment testing).

  • If your existing business telephone number used is a Maxis number, your existing numbers can be retained.

    If your existing business telephone number used is from another operator. A new Maxis Voice Connect Number will be provided to you.

  • Yes. You will need an Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) to connect to your fax machine and IP Trunk.

    Note: Fax-over-IP may experience reliability issues due to VoIP compression.  We recommend using G.711 standard be used by your fax machine.
