Part 1: Registration

    2. Maxis Business AirFibre149 – device bundled, unlimited 4G/5G (with 24-months contract) for RM149

  • Yes, customer can subscribe to AirFibre149 and it comes with a 24-month commitment contract for plan bundled with CPE/router.

  • No, the product does not have any location lock features, but we advise customers not to move the router and SIM from the existing 5G coverage location to ensure a better user experience.

  • If you are temporarily disconnected from 5G network or in weak 5G coverage, Your device will automatically switch to the best available network, such as 4G LTE ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. Once 5G network coverage is available again, your device will reconnect seamlessly to the Maxis 5G.

  • No, the router is SIM locked to only Maxis SIM only.

  • It’s plug-and-play, the device will be delivered to the customer with an instruction manual on how to set up the wireless connectivity.

  • No. As such you need to make sure that the customer is in a very good 5G coverage area to ensure the best experience.

  • No, you cannot use this service outside Malaysia. No Roaming /IDD is enabled for this service.

  • Your existing Maxis Business AirFibre plan (s) will be automatically upgrade to Unlimited 4G/5G Plans from time to time. You will receive SMS notification and Inbox in Maxis Business Hub on the update.

  • Maxis Business AirFibre 79 and Maxis Business AirFibre 149 Plan (s) offer unlimited 5G/4G data. To ensure better experience for all users, excessive and abusive data usage is subjected to Fair Usage Policy.  For this Plan(s) You will be throttled to 512Kbps once you reached to 1500GB (1.5TB) FUP quota.

  • For Maxis Business AirFibre 149 plan, SIM Voice features are provided however customer will need to acquire Dect Phone that will be connected to RJ11 port at the router provided and configured voice features in router. Here are the step-by-step instructions for voice features in admin Portal (router)

        (refer to the information on the below of the CPE for the access credentials)
      • Once entered, click on ‘Advanced’ menu option

      • Once enabled, customer can start to make & receive calls

  • For any new Maxis Business AirFibre plan sign-up, You will have a choice to Opt In on ONE Biz Lite SMS Campaign Tool plan and able to enjoy the first 24-months of free monthly recurring charge, valued at RM432 per Company BRN. After 24 Months, standard subscriptions will be applied. You will need to indicate during registration that you interested to Opt In to this option and will not have options to change after Device and SIM delivered to You.

    • For the Maxis Business AirFibre 149 plan, customer will receive 1 unit of 5G CPE/router,1 adaptor, 1 LAN cable, 1 user manual and 1 packaging box.
    • For the Maxis Business AirFibre 79 plan, will only receive 1 unit of 5G SA SIM card.
  • The modem remains as Maxis property throughout the contract period. For any termination within or beyond the active contract period, upon full payment of the service penalty or the expiry of the contract period, you may keep the modem. However, the modem usage is locked within the Maxis SIM card only.

  • You may request termination of your account. However, if you are still within your contract period, you may have to pay a penalty.

  • You will be charged an early termination fee of RM3,576 remaining balance. It will be reflected in your final bill. Please refer to the below sample calculation:
    Example scenario;
    Early termination Charge after 3 months subscription RM149 X 24 months =RM3576
    After 3 months = RM3576 – (3 months X RM149) = RM 3129
    Early Termination charge based on the remaining month's balance = RM3129

  • No, you will not need to return the modem. However, you will be required to pay the penalty.

  • The customer will be able to keep the modem once the contract expires. The modem, however, will be locked to Maxis network usage only.

  • Termination of service is available via the account manager, contact centre & Maxis centres

Part 2: Device Return/Replacement

    Here are some recommended tips:

    There are 3 signal indicator lights (from top to bottom) to show signal strength. Steady white lights mean you are connected to 5G network. The more lights are on, the stronger the signal.

    Best placement of 5G router:

    Place your router in a central location close to a window where there is also a power source.

    Concrete walls, metal doors can reduce cellular signal from the tower. Placement in basements should be avoided.

    Signal strength: Once your device(s) is connected to the router, you can check the signal strength by checking the signal indicators on the Router or after logging into the 5G router web page on the connected device. If you do not have full network signal bars, try setting up the router in another location of your home.

    For better WiFi Connection:

    Minimize interference by trying to keep the following items no closer than 2~3 metres from your router: Cordless telephone base stations, microwaves, baby monitors, bluetooth devices, wireless speaker systems.

    Avoid congestion since adding additional devices to your Wi-Fi network may reduce the speed for all devices on that network.

    Make sure you have a good Wi-Fi signal on your router.

  • The router has a warranty period of twelve (12) months.

  • A penalty will be incurred if you terminate without returning the complete set or a faulty/dented modem. The penalty amount is RM1,699.00. The complete set of accessories refers to the router, adaptor, LAN cable, user manual and packaging box.

  • You will not be charged for the replacement of the router during the warranty period due to damage caused by a manufacturing defect. If the modem is damaged due to your negligence, you will be charged RM1,699.00

  • You can return it at any Maxis Centres or via Account Manager if you want to return the device.

Part 3: Billing

  • You will receive your first bill on the second month of your subscription together with the package value on the second month. Plus, you will see a statement reflecting your monthly access fee plus a pro-rated of the access fee from the date of your registration to the date that you are billed. Additional charges and rebates will be reflected based on the offerings that are part of your package.

  • You can request a printed bill or e-billing. E-Billing is a service where you will receive your bill online instead of a physical bill. To ensure that you receive your e-bill, you need to have a valid Business Portal ID and password which can be retrieved from the Maxis Business Hub portal website (MBH). Just enter the email address that you have provided during registration submission

  • Customer can log-in to Maxis Business Hub portal to view bills, data quota utilization, purchase add-on data passes by accessing the link: https://businesshub.maxis.com.my/auth/sso
